St. Patrick's Day Pack

I can't believe we are already starting our last week in February and March 1st will be here on Friday!  I can't believe that spring will be here before we know it.  I also can't believe that I have gotten my St. Patrick's Day Pack done BEFORE March has even started.  It is loaded with skills that our first graders need to know.  In my pack, you will find a letter to parents asking them to help their child build a Leprechaun trap.  There is a recipe for Shamrock Shakes.  There are lots of literacy center activities, math activities and writing activities.  Pictured below are some of the samples included in the pack.  You can find it here....St-Patricks-Day-Literacy-and-Math-Centers-More

You will find a letter to parents inviting them to help their child build a Leprechaun Trap.  Some pictures are included to show examples from my kiddos last year.

There is a mini book.  Some pages have pictures and some the kids will be able to draw pictures.  It has lots of facts included to tell about St. Patrick's Day.

Children will be able to match analog and digital clocks with each other matching times to the hour and half hour.  4 worksheets are included to go along with this.

In this activity students will solve addition equations.  They will solve addition equations and match the coins to the answer on the pots.  An addition facts sheet can be completed after.

Who doesn't love Lucky Charms?  With tis activity, you will give your kids each a baggie with cereal in it.  They will complete the graphs based on the number of each marshmallow they have.

In this activity, students will sort words that have a ch, sh, wh or th in them.  They will record the words on the worksheet provided.

In this activity, students will look at words with the "R" sound.  They will notice that ir, ur, er, or ear sometimes makes the "r" sound.  They will sort this words and record 5 of each one on the recording sheet.

Child will sort words into piles of singular or plural nouns.   They will record them on the recording sheet.

Students will learn about contractions in this activity.  They will put puzzles together with two words and it's contraction word.

In this activity, students will learn about future, present and past tense words. They will sort sentences into the correct columns. After sorting, they will do a worksheet.

In these puzzles students will make compound words.  They will put two words together to make a compound word.

In this activity, students will match shamrock pairs with words that mean the same thing.  They will complete the worksheet after.

Students will put pairs of words together that mean the opposite of each other.  A worksheet is included.

We will end the day by making Shamrock Shakes.

This activity is always one of my favorites.  I put each child's name on a piece of paper.  Each child has to draw a name.  They have to look at the name and write about why that person is a good friend or why we are lucky to have them in our class.

You can find these activities by visiting my TPT store....by clicking here....St-Patricks-Day-Literacy-and-Math-Centers-More

Enjoy your week!
