Blogger Bonanza 2015 and my Math Presentation

This weekend I had the opportunity to present at Blogger Bonanza 2015 with some fabulous bloggers from Minnesota and Wisconsin.  I walked away with so many ideas that I want to implement in my classroom starting in September.  We each took an area and presented so many wonderful ideas on our area.

The first presentation was by Amber and LuAnn from Kindergarten Rocks!  They shared ideas on Writing.  We learned a lot and we laughed a lot.  It is always so fun to see what our kinder kids write and how their skills develop throughout the year.

The next presentation was by me.  I shared some of the math ideas that I used in my classroom paired with using Book Creator and Seesaw for accountability and assessment purposes.  I will share my info in a bit.

Followed by me was  Erica.  She has so much passion about teaching her kids using Play-Based Learning.  I whole-heartily agreed with everything she said.

Up next was Sara from Polka Dot Kinders,  She had a wealth of great information about teaching Guided Reading in her classroom.  I am excited to revamp what I have been doing and use some of her ideas in September.

Finally we got to learn from Mrs. Leeby and Kimberly Ann.  They had so many GREAT ideas about implementing Word Work in the classroom .  They were so organized and had us up and moving around the room trying out their ideas.

I can honestly say that on this beautiful Saturday, there was no place that I would have rather been.   We learned so much from each other.  I walked away with so many great ideas that were shared by amazing teachers that teach in the classroom and that know what works and doesn't work for kids.  They had so much passion for what they do and it showed.  I really wish our schools gave us opportunities to do things like this during our professional development days.  Everyone has so many great ideas that we could take back to our classrooms right away.

Back to my presentation.  I shared math ideas that you can use in your classroom.

The PowerPoint Slide show that I shared on Saturday with pictures of my activities that I use in my room can be found HERE.

I will do another post this week describing exactly what I do in all of the pictures.

Thanks to everyone who went to our presentation!  I hope you found it as beneficial

I hope you are having a great Monday. I can't believe it's going to be July 1st on Wednesday already!!!
